Commercial focus shifted from discovering new materials to optimizing existing products, including optimizing formulation and dosage as well as designing synergistic heat stabilizers and lubricant systems to meet the diverse needs and preferences of a large number of users. This development is driven by the rising momentum of green sport and industry towards cheaper and better performing chemistries. The continued need to use safer and more convenient chemical additives is impeded. The hallmark of this phase is the emergence of a well-designed heat stabilizer - lubricant "one pack" product.
